When Ketil Bjørnstad was commissioned to write a commissioned work for the Canal Street festival in Arendal in 2007, the working title "Coastlines" quickly came to mind. So did the name of Lill. On Tuesday 24 July, the work was premiered in front of an enthusiastic audience in Arendal Cultural Centre. Apart from Lindfors and Bjørnstad, there was a solid team of musicians on stage: Nora Taksdal, Svein Dag Hauge, Arild Andersen and Alex Riel. Rainbow studio made a live recording which has subsequently been processed and mixed by Jan Erik Kongshaug. "Coastlines" forms a triology together with the successful albums "Seafarers song" with Kristin Asbjørnsen and "Grace" with Anneli Drecker.

Ketil Bjørnstad has strong ties to the coastlines of Southern Norway. He lived on Sandøya for many years and also has roots in and many musical memories from Arendal. He has also previously written music around themes such as the sea and the coast. On "Coastlines", the great songs are packed like herring in a barrel - and Lill Lindfors conveys them in his strong and completely personal way.
